Ratu Suliano highlighted that the reforms implemented by government is not only for the province of Namosi for all Fijians.
“I think we must put our differences aside and support the government as it leads the nation towards elections,” he said.
“If we continue to go against it, it will mean making lives difficult for ourselves thus delaying the developments that the government has already in place for people.”
A former politician and member of parliament himself, Ratu Suliano is happy with the developments that have been taking place in rural areas.
“For people in the villages and especially like Namosi – our needs are very limited but we also want electricity, tap water and access to basic health services and education,” he added.
“We have a few projects that Government has started within the Namosi province and we are hoping to get some more in the coming years.”
Ratu Suliano said that he closely following the progress towards democracy.
“I am aware of the developments taking place and the electronic voter registration processes that will begin on July 3, 2012. It gives Fiji another opportunity to come together as a nation and choose the leaders we want for the betterment of not only us but our future generation too.”
